My first show of 2024 is at Henfield with the Sussex Guild. Looking forward to taking part together with other guild members.
Finally completed this hand embroidered coral hoop. I have been finding it hard to get up to speed since Christmas, probably due to the miserable weather. Anyway this piece was started before the holidays and I am so pleased it has been finished at last. I plan to include this piece when I have a joint exhibition at the Grange in Rottingdean in September - that is if it hasn't been sold by then.
My new lichen embroidery is a bright piece to be working on and it is certainly cheering me up now the autumnal weather has arrived. Just loving the yellows and orange embroidery threads which I am using to hand embroider onto my quilted image. Making progress but quite some way to go yet before complete. Promises to be another for my planned joint exhibition next year at The Grange in Rottingdean.
I am taking part in the 55th show with the Sussex Guild at Michelham Priory on 28th -30th July. This year I will be in the large marquee on the front lawn and not in the Elizabethan Barn so I am hoping the weather is dry and sunny! I am bringing along more embroidered hoops which have been inspired by lichen, moss and fungus. There are also some new smaller framed embroidered quilted pieces too. Looking forward to seeing my fellow makers and lovers of handmade crafts.
